Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our San Francisco office. In this role, you will perform a variety of electrical engineering and design activities under the supervision of senior engineering staff. You will contribute to projects with a strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and technical excellence.

This position requires a self-starter who is organized, creative, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Strong initiative and follow-through are essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical design using the latest engineering software.
  • Conduct submittal and shop drawing reviews; respond to RFIs accurately and promptly.
  • Document changes to scope, schedule, and budget; communicate updates to the project team.
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
  • Assist senior engineers in reviewing design plans and development strategies.
  • Evaluate electrical systems, equipment, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and support project leads.
  • Participate in design and construction meetings.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures during the design process.
  • Propose innovative solutions to design challenges.
  • Perform voltage drop, short-circuit, breaker coordination, and Arc Flash studies.
  • Apply knowledge of NEC and Title 24 compliance.
  • Edit specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Implement electrical design in a BIM environment.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare observation reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3-6 years of electrical design experience in consulting or design-build environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • General understanding of contract and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and engineering/construction processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Revit, and engineering analysis software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • PE Certification preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation preferred.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of state and local building codes, NEC.
  • Proficient in Revit and BIM 360.

Salary Range

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA. The expected salary range is $90,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors. This range may vary for positions in other locations.
